This is tactical to avoid the pinging disrupting us any further than it has today which is our main concern. This will hopefully ease by mid-august

For those who think kids faking LFTs is an issue, 88% of the LFT positives found in schools this week were confirmed by follow up PCR test, that is the highest % yet. PCR testing capacity now overstretched in most areas, hard to get appointments to have them done. So we will be missing a rather higher proportion of true cases from here - many people have had symptoms, several negative LFT tests (due to lowish sensitivity) then got a PCR which came back positive. |

Sorry if I misunderstood what consistutes a positive test I do my LFTs and log the result through Zoe app I presumed they got included. Not having had a positive I wasn’t aware it wasn’t.

Reported LFT positives do get included in the daily total. My point was that plenty of people are making claims that kids are faking LFT tests. The next conclusion they reach is that sending bubbles home to isolate is therefore a complete waste of time. I have no idea whether any LFT tests have been faked, but I don't think it's a big issue. The PCR confirmation rate being so high underlines that point. |

Baz What didn't you like about it? Genuine question, as never done one. Nor anyone I know. |

It's pretty unpleasant. I've done tens - testing twice a week for months now. It doesn't get any better. Although the first one I did, when I actually had it, was the worst by far.
