Swits, a "compelling case" to those who are listening and understand, and to those who are not being guided by the Prime Minister and many media who are thinking of Monday 19 July as "Freedom Day".
I've even heard the BBC doing articles about "What are you planning to do from Monday with your new freedoms?"

It is appearing more and more like a massive gamble. They've thrown open the door of the tiger's cage.

I was in tesco this morning everyone had a mask on normally there’s the odd one without. The cashier told me they’re keeping screens and recommending masks and I got a message from. GP this morning to say masks still needed there too. I think most places will keep it just can’t enforce it but they didn’t anyway.

Specifically on the issue of mask-wearing, the Office for National Statistics spoke to 3,824 people around the UK between July 7-11 to find out their attitude ahead of the removal of legal restrictions in England on Monday.
The survey found:
64% of respondents say they will keep wearing face masks in shops and on public transport 90% believe that measures such as wearing a face covering when shopping to stop the spread of coronavirus are important 88% believe social distancing is important More than half (57%) of survey respondents say they are worried about the government's plan to lift legal restrictions from Monday, including a fifth who are "very worried"

Just found out that we're (civil service Dept) expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week from September, despite our productivity arguably increasing since lockdown. They can FRO if they think they're getting any unpaid overtime out of our team and me whilst dragging us into the office just to make a point...

That’s madness but I suspect our business will be the same. I will also not be making any time back due to the extra time spent socialising. Which I know will be a lot! Even making a cup of tea with the team takes a good 20min and at hone it is delivered to me on a drip fed basis.

Lol at drip-fed tea geordiegirl!
Our company is being really sensible. Just got an email saying will be taking it slow and customer and staff well being is being prioritised etc. So working from home fully supported for just now.

Tesco and Sainsburys announced yesterday that they would continue to encourage mask wearing.

I was in the office this morning to empty by cabinet and locker as the building is closing and we will have much less space.
It all worked well and I came home with more stuff than I had anticipated. I was also surprised by how many people were there. I think they are mostly people who either dont have a good enough set up at home, or who need/benefit from specific kit
The hardest part for me was trying to figure out and follow the one way system rather than just go where I fancied

Didn't take long for cases to get above 50,000 then - and restrictions haven't even eased yet.
Can't believe that some people have decided not to wear masks when shopping just because it's no longer going to be law - no consideration for the shop workers or other shoppers.
