Christmas is now officially done as the last sweet from our Christmas goldfish bowl has been devoured.

If it was up to me I wouldn't bother either, the kids are all grown up and we go south to the MiL's for Christmas anyway.

All chocolate has now been eaten and all the decorations are in the loft; the chopped up tree is in the garden waste bin. Happy New Year :-)

All chocolate was gone until I found tubs of celebrations discounted to £3 in our local coop 😁

We still have an entire home made Christmas cake. Someone with excellent baking credentials gave it to my dad, who passed it on to us because it was a lot for him to eat by himself (although I don't doubt his cake-eating capacity). I'd intended to cut it up and take it to parkrun on Saturday, but I forgot and it's just as well because other people had obviously had the same idea.

The tree is still up. Maybe tomorrow.

I still have loads of chocolate as I bought extra to give in case I forgot gifts for people. Since Mom died that number has dropped significantly and I forgot to consider that. So I still have:

2 x 890g blocks of Dairy Milk that were a more efficient pence per 100g than the 400g blocks.
1 x Orange Toblerone
1 x Bojangles Truffles
2 boxes of Maltesers
1 x Terry's Chocolate Orange
2 x Chocolate Marzipan logs
Chocolate coins that the wife opened before I could say they were for the niece/nephews.

Plus the stuff at my wife's house that was bought for us. I don't have much of a sweet tooth any more so it could take a while.

But, I do not regret going into Lidl on Saturday and walking past the "Seasonally reduced" section to find they were selling a fully iced Christmas Cake (apparently serves 16) for the grand price of £1.

I did only buy one because there's only me likes it and my SiL made one for our Christmas hamper, but no icing or anything on hers. :(
