All chocolate gone except for my Christmas presents 😁 Christmas cake nearly all gone including another slice in a few minutes. A pack and a couple of mince pies dated 8th bought at the weekend, reduced obviously and I walk in the house to find a Panettone on the worktop! We've never had one before, I assume that was reduced too 🤣

Charlotte made our one this year as part of her home economics exam, was very good apart from the lack of marzipan. This is due to a pupil at school being so allergic to nuts that all nuts and products containing nuts are banned from the school buildings.

We didn't buy any chocolate but we've been away since the 28th so all the stuff we got bought as presents is at home waiting for us to get back.

I have a box of After Eights and a box of Hotel Chocolat which I was considering posting to @Velociraptor because I don’t like them

Didn't buy or get any chocolates here, and only brought a very small slice of Christmas cake too as I can't eat it, but that has also gone

No Christmas chocolate left in the Ness household. We do have leftover cheese from the Christmas day cheeseboard. We didn't get to eating any cheese on Xmas day because we'd eaten too much other stuff. Must remember to put it in the freezer.

When did "Christmas means loads of extra cheese" become A Thing? I'm sure it wasn't always. I'm not complaining, the cheese can stay as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather have cheese than most of what's on a Christmas dinner.

It’s a weird one that. We have several different cheeses that we wouldn’t buy during the year. We have cut back on how much we buy these days as we’d sometimes find cheese of interesting colours in the back of the fridge in July!

Not sure, Vrap, but mum always used to buy extra cheese for an after Christmas dinner cheeseboard. IIRC it hardly ever got touched on Xmas Day! 😉😂 As Mr Ness doesn't eat cheese (unless it's been melted on a pizza) I plan on cutting the Christmas cheese into portions and freezing it. I can take it out in bits when I fancy some cheese and crackers that way. |
