Does anyone know how the athlete tracking works for Chester? Is it through the main marathon website, the niftyentries website, or a separate app? I've looked online and struggled to find an easy answer.

I don't remember there being any tracking through the course last year (might be wrong), but you can use the alert via the niftyentries to get the final times notified. This link appears to show something a bit more like a tracker - I got to this via the "results" part of the niftyentries site. https://ale.niftyentries.com/Results/2022-MBNA-Chester-Marathon/Leaderboard?#! |

I've had mixed experienced with live race trackers, so I tend not to trust them! That said, I've just looked back to last year at Chester and the 10k splits were recorded pretty well so presume they were available on the day so perhaps they will be reliable! If I'm really paranoid about my family keeping an eye out I tend to use Garmin's "live track" feature, as I always have my phone on me in my flipbelt, even if I'm in a race. |
