Actually there are better places to watch from -- runners go past the cafe twice, and just after the start 3 times.

I was thinking wellies would probably be a good idea, are you suggesting wellies for the runners as well HB? ;-)

Some of the lakes are deep and steep-sided (flooded quarries). It's a fantastic place for a 2 year old, but you might want to take reins/ enforce holding mum's hand in some places.
