I'll be there with bells on. At the Parkrun meeting that is, though bells at work's Christmas do would be good also. |

Lyra, BW. i don't know if you have seen the works going on in MCP. The area marked in the link gmap-pedometer.com are currently closed off to the public. Hoping that this is only short term. |

Nope, not aware of that, Ted. Thanks for mentioning though, let's hope they reopen that part soon.

Hi peeps, bit of an update on yesterday’s meeting between Blue Wombat, Fenland Runner and me. We decided that Milton Country Park really does seem to be the best venue - super location, excellent facilities, nice, safe, easy to marshal course. As such, we plan to progress the idea by speaking to the Parkrun organisers and finding out where we go from here. Sadly, Anita was unable to make the meeting yesterday, but would like to meet with us soon. Yesterday evening, we talked through any concerns we have and how they may be resolved. I shan’t bore you with the details, but I’m happy to provide further information to those interested. Just drop me an fmail. The three of us (me, BW and FR) plan to meet at 9am on Saturday 19th December at Milton Country Park. This will give us the opportunity to better plan the course route and consider any pros and cons. We’ll also be getting a clearer idea of course measurements. Meeting at 9am (when most Parkruns start) should help us to gauge how busy the park is at that time. It would be lovely if anyone else would like to join us. If all goes well and the next steps are successful, we mooted the idea of an informal Fetch Parkrun ‘dry run’ to take place perhaps in early January. This would involve Fetchies and friends simply turning up and running the course, then giving us any feedback. I’ll keep you all posted on developments – let me know if you’ve any thoughts/questions etc. Now I’m off to draft an email to Anita. |

I wonder if it is possible to change the title of a thread once it is active? If so, I think it is time to remove the question mark from the title of this one! I'll see what Lord Fetch can do ....
