good points about the bridges, Lyra- There are plenty of people who go to MCP for a quiet stroll, who might be quite bowled over by a troop of runners heading straight at them!

Sounds like you've got a nice group organised here! I help organise the Basingstoke parkrun, so let me know if there's anything at all I can help with.

BW, I get to do all our risk assessments at work so I'm a boring H&S geek. Cool, thanks for the support, Rach! ![]() |

Meeting update: We're going to be meeting on Friday 27th November at The Boathouse, Cambridge at 8pm: remotegoat.co.uk Anita from Parkrun should be able to join us - hope lots of Fetchies can make it too, but no worries if you can't. |

We have a couple of bridges at Bramhall - there was no way to avoid them - but the surface can get very slippery especially when 200+ runners run across in muddy shoes. A few well positioned "Caution Runners" signs help alert the other park users and give the feel of a proper race ![]() Depending on where it is you might find that the university sports dept is interested in being involved. South Manchester and Leeds parkruns are both connected to university - which gets you lots of volunteers. |

Bob, these bridges are barely wide enough for a pushchair to go through, really quite narrow. Lyra, I ran the 5K route today, let me get it on here as a course for you. Will take a while though as I am rebuild this here PC |
