How do you lace your shoes Gus? (apologies I only just spotted the update today) I do wear my shoes very loose, I have never been able to have them tight but any suggestions gratefully received. MH thank you for the info, mine is going through phases of being painful then just getting more pronounced by the day (or it feels that way) I did a 20m run yesterday and the 4/5 metatarsals or tendons were sore. The physio said to me that the bunion may have contributed to progressing my previous (undiagnosed) stress fracture to a full fracture with the pressure it would be causing on my foot. Its a pain. I think I may have to get rid of all my gorgeous heels as it makes me sad looking at them but knowing I cant possibly manage them, I can still wear odd ones for a short period but most of our nights out involve a lot of walking so its turning into a no-no. Gutted. |

Fetchies so I have this bunion and I’m getting a sore spot between my big & 2nd toe it feels like I have a stone in my shoe. I run in vibrams without socks so I thought something had been rubbing. Ran in socks & vibrams it wasn’t too bad. Today I’ve ran in my normal socks and trainers and it’s really sore. I presume it is the bunion causing the skin to bunch up. Has anyone with a bunion experienced this it any ideas what might help? |

I have a bunion too Mrs J I had hoped I’d avoid the family bunions as I wore more sensible shoes seems I wasn’t that lucky. I’d have gone and seen doctor about it had it not been this crazy world. t least it’s stopped been painful (other than the blister) |

Another blister this time on top of my bunion its rubbing badly on my trainers it’s impossible to find shoes that work with said bunion. Well my vibrams work perfectly but I’m doing a 100k in a few weeks and I know I can’t wear them for the full distance. My inov8s are too narrow. Trying merrells now I’ve gone a size up so I can put an insole in which adds a bit more cushioning as I’ve had issues with metatarsal on the left foot. My feet are falling apart 😩 Think I’m going to have to see someone about the bunion. |

'tis me and this troublesome bunion again. Spoke to the practice nurse who is referring me an orthopedic specialist. I explained I do 'barefoot' running and wear minimalist shoes - not sure she got it but she humoured me. I have no faith but we'll see. |
