I don't know any cyclists who drink energy drinks and just lob the bottles! I would think most of them pour energy drinks into their normal reusable cycling bottles.

If you meet him again jude give him a punch on the nose from me. I've never read such dribble about cycling/cyclist. Always thought the Times was meant to be a reputable paper obviously it's no different to the daily mail/sun.

After she was quite excited about the surprise birthday present my gf is getting me, she let the cat out of the bag earlier. She's got me a taster track session at Manchester Velodrome at the end of the month!!

I'm crapping myself, not only am I feeling rather unfit at the moment, but that track stuff looks quite scary I've never riden a fixie without brakes, and with those banks! Should be good fun though.

She's also got us tickets to a day at the world track champs in March which should be cool.

Have done that Hammerite. Prepare to feel strangely dizzy for hours afterwards. It's great fun though and nowhere near as hard as it looks. When you get right up to the top and have a full lean on it feels great but in no way does it feel scary which is strange because it should when your cycling on your side

Does cycling really improve your running times, or does it "just" improve your all round fitness?
