I'm probably the last person to ask about training as 90% of my cycling is for fun. Definatly hill work and I also try to spin the gears at about 90rpm rather than grind to big of a gear. I often ride with a few mates and we tend to push each other espeacially on the hills which help.

I'd love to know how to go faster. I think I need to lose some weight and then start trying to go faster.

m4p - I wondered about that but thought it best not to mention it... how can it be illegal to do this with 'inaminate objects' - it's not like they are going to mind!!!

idio - I should definately have spun more today, just found it easier to push slightly bigger gears instead. Obviously my fitness has gone down since I got injured :-(

I have heard of bikes being "sexy", but that's a bit extreme.
