I've got a triple on my winter bike. very good on the big hills weve got round here.

hills and essex, not normally something you talk about. and I'm talking about something that goes up into the clouds and takes 10 -15 minutes to get up.

What about if your friend bought a bike when they didn't know what they were doing, and it was a nice bike too, a really good blue colour, and they didnt know about 3 vs 2 rings and it works fine and that - what then?!!?

My MTB has a triple, my road bike has NOT, it has only two rings: 39 and 52, as I am well 'ard... and we do have big hills around here :-)
