Can anyone recommend a good site for learning what to do to improve their cycling?

I used to push pedals at 60-70rpm but now my cadence is 90ish, but I'm sure there are lots more things I should know and lots more 'techniques/training regimes' to learn about.

boulder are you doing the Nairnshire Challenge? I'm up in Aviemore for the hols and might pop down and have a spectate

Specialised. Are ok bikes but looking at the spec, there is not a lot of quality branded names, so this is where they are cutting corners. You can always upgrade at a later date.

These bikes are a compromise and as such you will be compromised in all aspects. Not as fast as a road bike, not as stable and rugged as a touring bike, not as rubust as a mtb

Sorry did not finish.
for community it will be ok but don't expect any serious off-road performance, tracks and trails.

Saying that I knew a guy in the 80's who would cycle all over the border moors and hill on a normal road bike.

It's a marketing gimmick trying to attract those people wanting to do a bit of everything. I would say if it's with the bike work scheme, it's cheap. Your own cash, look around for other options.

Loon Dod I have a cross bike and stick road tyres on it and it's nearly as quick as a road bike only really limited by gearing. It makes off road a bit intresting using drop bars and skinny 32c tyres after using 2.3 mountain bike tyres and 5" of travel either end. But must admit i've been thinking of switching back to a full on road bike.

fester.

the greatest cyclist of all time Eddy Merckx (not Lance), said three things about being better at cycling.

1- ride a bike

2- ride a bike

3 - ride a bike.

it's really that simple.

however, like everything people want to make it complicated. improving your pedalling like you have is a big start.

I will look around for some good sites, when I get back from hols.

just keep pedalling.

Seeyall soon folks

Pilotlight I wouldn't call cyclo-cross a marketing gimmick as it's been around for decades and as for toughness just look at the 3 peaks cyclo cross race.

If I came up with my all time top 5 I wouldn't put Armstrong on it, tbh.
