Had a good paw over a QR Tequilo yesterday and was disappointed. Had a 'you show me yours' with a bloke with a Focus Tria. Nice. Much nicer than it is on paper.

There were a *hoooooj* number of Cervelos on show yesterday.

"Anyone doing the Grand Fondo in Wales this Sunday" - Yes Tri Mikey, I'll be there ;)

EP - Add Sheffield Cycles in Burton on Trent to your list of shops worth visiting too. If you're thinking of commuting on the bike occasionally could you use the hybrid for that still, or is it not a good fit? You can get a more "racey" bike with scope to add panniers on, but that's a bit of a compromise really.

You've got plenty of offers of help re: choosing already, but I'd throw my hat in the ring too on that front - drop me a line if needed.

Just been knocked off. Van man overtakes on a blind bend. Focus man coming the other way. Van man needs my space. Van man knocks me off. Bike boy eats the 'mac. Bike boy goes ballistic with van man. Focus man goes ballistic with van man. Van man leaves and bike boy has set of scratches from bottom bracket to shoulder.

Sympathy required....

Thanks guys good advice all round. Too much carbon on the bike to risk the race on Saturday. Just have to use the training bike instead. Elbow is aching tho..
