A couple of weeks ago we met our son's future in laws for the first time and had a meal with them. They are good people. I love mustard and tried some Tracklements strong English mustard. Cue running eyes, nose, coughing, flushed face....

Beutiful looking cake! I had to look up what a PrinsesstĂĄrta was, so thank you for educating me
Paul Hollywood’s Irish oat bread is in the oven (thanks Fizz for the recipe). I made a double batch so it would fit in our loaf tin, and used oil instead of butter. Wondering if I actually doubled all the ingredients (sepcifically the white flour and baking powder...) it was very wet and isn't rising much.
SR is a lot more expensive than plain in NZ (and non existent for wholemal flour), and easier not having a lot of different flour types, so I get plain and add baking powder as needed. Or did I?!?
