Fizz :-)
You get my notes from the first time I made it as an added bonus :-)

Thank you :)
Nice that it is a loaf tin recipe not free-form, OH is the main bread eater in our house and he prefers 'normal' shaped slices for toasting.

Fizz :-)
500g is a really tiny tin though. If/when I make it again, I’ll probably try doubling it up for a larger tin and see what happens.

Oat bread looks great!

Cheese souffle for dinner yesterday started well but overflowed again (better than not rising, I guess!)

Apples to use up so I did a very simple apple pie, using up the leftover rough puff I made a few weeks ago (I froze it).

The recipe is waitrose.com - I think it would work well with a layer of frangipane underneath too, and maybe pears instead of apples.

Awesome souffle - not something I've ever been brave enough to try to make.

It's hubbys birthday this week and whilst we were in Stockholm at half term he discovered Princesstarta and loved it - so I'm going to attempt to make one. I've found a couple of recipes and I'm going to mix and match bits from each. Fingers crossed, I'll report back later in the week.

Souffle is pretty easy really!

I live in Stockholm and haven't yet tried princesstarta. They do seem to like their sweet stuff here.

We loved our short visit there sallykate. I had a Semla while we were there and really liked it, so will be attempting to make them at some stage in the future as well.

Yes they definitely seem to value cayke as much as us fetchies do. They even have a word for making time for coffee and cake with friends - Fika. It's my current favourite word!

Yes, fika is the answer to everything! Which is lovely, really - recognising the value of sitting down with someone and sharing a break with some coffee and something tasty.
