Looks nice Lizzie.
Vegan banana cupcakes and choc chip marzipan loaf baked here today. The former to take into work tomorrow, new recipe to me (from the M&S banana brown bag) and surprisingly nice.

Dumb question
If I wanted to make a cheese sauce for pasta (rather than building fresh sauce) Would I just use the same sauce I use for cauliflower cheese?

I would. Roux with flour and butter, milk to make sauce, cheese (and a tsp of Dijon mustard).

Yeah, ditch the mustard, use good quality cheese, cook the roux low and slow. Lots of black pepper and a pinch of salt.
If making macaroni cheese, add lots of bacon
