I am utterly fuddled by those cuffs. WTF?
I made a lemon drizzle cake yesterday. I am afraid it was from a packet mix. It is nice, but not fantastic. The sides seemed to cook a bit fast, when a skewer to the middle was still coming out too wet. Fan oven instructions can be a bit off, I find, perhaps should have been a bit lower and longer. Anyway, I have a new recipe from a friend on Instagram which I will try for my next one.

I use Nigella's or Sam Stern's lemon drizzle recipes quimby - both very reliable. I usually take 20C off the stated temperature if there's no specific fan instructions.

Thanks for the advice on the sourdough starter. I would have given up without it but we've just had this with soup for lunch and it was lovely.

Good work LF! I might start another starter this week, with light rye flour.

It was very citrus-y in the thread yesterday. The boys made a sponge with lime zest in it and I made a lemon butter cream and put that with some bought lemon curd inside.
