Last night I knocked up Nadiya Hussain's Ploughman's cheese and pickle tart. Won't get to sample it though, it's for Mrs Nico's "Leaving Do" fuddle |

Basic yeasted white loaf proving now: I was so pleased to get some fresh yeast a while ago but then got into sourdough and didn't get round to using it - it's past its best before date so fingers crossed it works.

Returned home to a very rare fail from Mini Nico. She had made white cobs, but for some reason, had mis-read the instructions and set the oven at 270* instead of 220. * She did well, it only goes up to 240! |
