Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've been unsuccessfully looking for condensed milk for a couple of weeks. Yesterday my dad told me he's had 2 tins that he's used in his coffee as he couldn't find any evaporated milk (he likes a milky coffee). I could have swapped him a tin if I'd known!

That's a lot of fruit DT! I was eyeing up a rum and banana cake recipe but not sure my husband will eat it.

Sorry to hear that you can't get eggs icemaiden - a pity jackdaw can't post his surplus out! Lizzie's link is good. I quite often do recipes using banana or yogurt in place of eggs and I have some flax seeds though I've never tried baking with 'flax eggs'. I'm happy to post you some flax seeds if you'd like to give it a try?

I don’t drink now and have mixed feelings about putting the booze in there. Handling the bottles felt weird but I wasn’t for one second tempted to have a taste. It was like having a book in my hand written in a completely unfamiliar language

I've used ground flax seeds (linseed) and also apple sauce. They do work. Chickpea water (aquafaba) also works very well instead of egg whites.
