I am now realising how very lucky I am to be able to walk 200yds across the green to buy eggs from an honesty box :)

Today's loaves



The one on the left is from an Aldi mixed seed ready mix that I found at the back of the cupboard, way past it's best before date so I put some extra yeast in. Turned out OK :)

I have just made the scones from the recipe with flour, cream and fizzy lemonade as posted on page 156 of this thread. I only had fizzy lemon and lime and it had been open a while so wasn't very fizzy so I used cream soda (sugar free) from a new bottle instead.

Taking into account that I haven't made scones for years possibly ever and thus made them a little small, they have come out really tasty and I will be able to improve for next time (which there definitely will be) :-)
