Delias Irish tea loaf today. Soak the dried fruit in tea overnight, then add in SR flour and sugar and nuts. So simple..No messing around creaming etc
Sometimes, the Oldies are best.

Yes - remember that. Here it's good old flapjacks but Oz golden syrup tastes odd to me after Tate&Lyles :-0

The butterscotch banana bread is the best ever - surprisingly forgiving too because no scales, baking powder, spice or rye/whlemeal flour 😮 here. There was vanilla, bicarb & SR flour. (& it did cook quickly) When I went back for recipe link saw the bread photo. In my dreams...

The bread is bonkersly easy ferret - theguardian.com

I use a whole 300ml pot of sour cream and multiply up. If you don't know Dan's bread baking methods, he doesn't do a massive kneading thing, just a few folds with rests in between. I promise it works. I use less salt than he suggests.

It's delicious bread, worked very well, doesn't look as professional as your photo because gchildren treated it like pastry & bashed it down as it was about to go in oven :-0 😂, was slightly 'over proved' too. Thanks for recipe. Children were fascinated by the yeast process, how the mix trebled in size :-)

You need the square brackets around the number when you paste into a blog or post.

I use fresh yeast from supermarket in store bakeries for most reliable results.
