Can anyone suggest easy festive bakery (cake/s or biscuits) that I can make for a. the staff at school and b. parkrun Christmas Day. Pref freezable so I can make them this weekend.
Thanks

Traybake sponge cake. Red jam in a layer in the middle and freeze. Make a cream cheese icing and add Christmas sprinkles!

I posted this on the old GBBO thread as someone else had posted something on there, however this is probably a more appropriate and up-to-date thread. Has anyone tried to make the marshmallow fondant that Nadiya used in her GBBO final cake? I'm toying with the idea for my Christmas cake when I ice it, but a bit of subsequent googling suggested it might be bit tricky (she made it look easy!)

You could probably freeze a gingerbread and ice it on the day

how delicious mmm like banana fried in butter & syrup. I just made apple crumble with all the eating apples found unloved in fridge at son's house. No sugar with apples, wondering if I'll bother with sour cooking apples again.
