NavyField in about 2009 was a good time-sink. I can't believe the EU server has been turned off now, meaning all that time was even more wasted than I ever imagined. Noob CVs. Lichten in der suden. |

If your PC is up to Portal, then that is a damn fine game, and completely unique - no shooting, 3d, lots of mindbending puzzles involving bouncing lasers around a room open up a door into the next room.

Ah, Portal, what a game that is. And the sequel. The puzzles are good but the writing elevates it to absolutely superb. A game hasn't made me genuinely laugh so often since The Secret of Monkey Island.

Another vote for Portal and definetly Portal 2 which is one of the best games I've played in the last 10 years.

Yes, Portal and Portal 2 are great (although 2 is a little short for my liking) I've recently played Lego Lord of the Rings on PS3 - and as a non-fan of the film trilogy I found it great fun (especially as it has a good two player mode). In the market for a new PS3 racing game though. I enjoy Blur and Wipeout - need something in the same vein as those, really rather than the Gran Turismos of this world... |

If you like Lego games, the Harry Potter ones are a must (especially if you like HP too). Lots of in-jokes, and detail from the story.

Oh, cool - I'll keep an eye out for those (also looking forward to the upcoming Lego Avengers game)

I don't have anything that's got graphic processing ability that would be able to handle lego (or any other first or 3rd person 3D game). Looking more for puzzle/story type stuff. Like Monkey Island. Or strategy/economic like Stronghold. I need to look at Civ. Some great suggestions. I'll keep looking. And keep swapping good games ideas with each other too. All good - thanks! G
