I had the 64k Amstrad, loads of my friends had the 48k spectrum a few c64's too.

I remember reading an article about the expanded version of Jet Set Willy (the follow up to manic miner). It was basically saying that the increase to 100+ levels was the beginning of a descent into madness.

Jet Set Willy was awesome. It was a kind of madness (it had a room of madness, I can't remember what it was called) and there were rooms you could fall into and never get out of. It was bonkers, and brilliant. And very hard to finish!

I've been trying to work out if my boredom threshold is just lower or if games were genuinely better back in the day...?! :-) G

Target Renegade was amazing. Renegade 3 genuinely destroyed my hopes and dreams for about a week :-(

Actually have two hours free time tonight. Metal Gear here I come!

I vaguely remember target renegade on the spectrum. It was class from what I can remember. Don't think it would stand up today though!
