Never been a CoD fan, and I'm well aware that Star Wars lacks depth, but it's a) star wars b) a lot of fun and c) a lot of my friends have it so it should be a blast(er)!

PS4 is excellent. I have Uncharted, Little Big Planet, GTA5 and Mortal Kombat X.
The only thing I feel I'm missing is a good driving game (like Wipeout on my PS3)

A new wipeout game would be incredible.

I've been playing Townsmen on android tablet. Free (annoying ads, but can't complain if free!), economic bits of Stronghold, options for soldiering but haven't got to that yet. I'm a much loved lord of my little town, at the moment. Happy New Year all! G

Wife got me Transformers Devastation for Christmas. Great little game, based on the cartoons rather than the films. they got the artwork and characters spot on (from what I recall) and the combat is pretty neat, if a little samey by the end.
Not sure what to get on PS4 next. My sit down time very limited so, though I want to play the Witcher 3, the chances of me ever getting anywhere in it are minimal. took me three months to get to the first ending in Metal gear 5
Mobile-wise, Lara Croft Go is pretty great.

Valyrian Plastic
I just completed Xenoblade Chronicles X yesterday. The main story quest anyway, for there's still 40% of the game left to complete, and that's after over 100 hours of gameplay!
If you already own a Wii U it's an easy recommendation; it'll appeal to fans of modern action RPGs; eveything from modern Final Fantasy and Monster Hunter to Mass Effect and The Witcher III. It's 12 hours since I put the game down yet I'm already feeling withdrawal symptoms.
The storytelling isn't perfect - leaving numerous plot holes unresolved and repeating the same jokes ad nauseum - but there are dozens of smaller missions with compelling stories of their own that make up for this.
Plus, you get to rocket around on another planet in a giant mech, beating the living daylight out of alien monsters. What's not to love?

I'm currently playing through Soma, the latest game from the people behind Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It doesn't quite recapture the terror factor of Amnesia but nothing ever will. And the story is much better. There's even some good writing and moments of humour.
And the classic Amnesia hook of creeping through a subterranean hell, unarmed, jumping at every little noise is still as strong as ever. And occasionally having to run like blazes from a horrible deformed bastard while horror-movie noises screech in your earphones. I can't think of any game developer that does audio as perfectly as Frictional.

I have Chronicles on my 3DS untouched Valyrian. Frightened to start it really as I reckon it will take me all year to complete.
Giant Bomb really rated Soma so that is on my list. Got Mordor in the PSN sale for cheap so that is next for me. At some point.
