I guess little big planet is a platformer but I didn't like it really.

Rogue Legacy is a pure platformer and was one of my favourite games of the last few years. Extremely replayable, I think I ended up at New Game +3. I liked the way that it feels extremely difficult when you start, but each time you play you get a bit further in until what at first seemed impossible becomes second nature.

I'm looking forward to a session on Far Cry 3 this evening with a few drams!

Rayman probably your best bet for a platformer. One of the few games that held the Mrs attention for more than a few minutes. Guacamelee is pretty outstanding but it's pretty "old skool" in that it can get rock hard later on.

Metal Gear is as bonkers as everyone has been saying. Mostly in a good way. Keifer Sutherland sounds drunk but then I am led to believe that is the most unsurprising part of the game.

So how is Metal Gear 5?

I've a week off work at the end of this week. Plenty Far Cry will be played!

It's pretty great. I am still very early (like mission six but have done loads of side stuff) so don't have a lot of gear at my disposal but already there are so many different ways I have finished missions. Clearly it is bonkers, it is Metal Gear after all, but this game actually plays pretty well. Which is a bonus.

Glad you liked it. Really well made game, and something that (for once) works really well on a Mobile.

It was quite a relaxing experience. Not too taxing, and beautifully designed. I think I'll give it another play through and then consider purchasing the extra levels.

Any recommendations for other iphone puzzlers?

That is pretty much the only one I have really enjoyed. I don't tend to do many puzzlers, as I am a bit dim and find them too hard! Currently trying to finish You Must Build a Boat. Which is quite cool but not a puzzler as such.
