Race number two in the series - July 2nd (which I'm not looking forward to Homm). Shouldn't be too warm then... gah. Need a winter one, I don't do hot.

Try a last Friday of the Month at Hyde Park, or one of the London Park time trials. The xxTTs start at 9am. Should not be too hot at that time. LFOTM is at mid-day

LFOTM course has a habit of changing slightly and from a personal point of view I have found it to be slower than BPTT.

Turned off the heart rate zone alarms last night on the back of what was discussed yesterday, and went out for a blast. My only sub-7:30 mile in the 18 months I've been a Fetchie.

Uncomfortable but not suicidal - and averaged only 80% of WHR. Bizarre.

Sorry, Gobi, don't think I understand the question. If its as simple as 'do you always wear your HR monitor' then more or less yes.

So you had plenty left to go even quicker Greg, great stuff! Keep pushing out of your comfort zone on your hard sessions, you'll fly. :-)

Kind words, Ian. Thanks.

The strange thing is (winces as The Usual Suspects roll their eyes), this morning I feel yesterday's effort in my legs, just a tad. This hasn't happened in a very long time, not even after races.

~waits for Gobi or Mic or Lums or Hendo to tell me I'm a lazy waster with no more right to post on this thread than a radish~
