Managed 13.2 miles this morning which was a pleasant surprise as I have struggled with tired legs 24/7 for nearly a month. Felt much fresher today and coped with some hills which I have had to walk up for the last few weeks.
Looking at my training log, the first three months of 2017 has seen my lowest mileage since 2010 and I'm a bit behind schedule to achieve 500 miles this year. Hey, it's still early days and I'm quite confident of clawing this back.

Impressive running Phil! You will soon catch up.
Sorry to hear about your injury banjobax hope the x-training helps.
I've continued to plug in the miles, I've changed my goal for the 1000km challenge I've set myself and I've managed to claw back from Jans illness now a while 1.4m ahead.
I've downloaded a training plan for the marathon and I've officially joined a running club which I'm very excited about. Long may this positive running continue.

OK, I completed the Brighton Marathon on Sunday, so some mileage to add on to my target. The fact it was 20-21 degrees, made running extremely difficult and a lot of participants like myself struggled in the conditions. I am just thankful that I didn't get put into an ambulance or needed paramedic attention like a lot of runners as St John's Ambulance were very busy.

Well done Phil! One of my colleagues did Brighton too he said it was incredibly hot. Saw a post on a fb group in on one of the guys needed medical assistance he said how well he'd been looked after, scary stuff.
I have had 5 days off it's been one of those weeks. My uncle died suddenly on Monday which was a total shock then tues/weds away with work and Thursday we headed to the boat for a week.
Went out for a 5k today but I've got stomach cramps and a bad back so it was a slow plod. Hopefully I'll get a few more in next week.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've now entered the Ashford & District Marathon on 30 April in addition to two others in May. I must be mad! I'm happy that the Southend Marathon in March got cancelled as I would probably be injured by now.
So sorry to hear of your sad news, GG. I hope the break on the boat did you some good.

Phew. Finally got my red heart back after 6 weeks or so! Probably won't keep it for long, but I know it's doable.
