Wow, that was a totally different run from yesterday. Enjoyed that, just wished some of the headlands and rape were cut to make it a bit easier to run.

Running gradually improving and really enjoyed parkrun on Saturday. Got my first sub 30 for a while and really happy to find out I finished ahead of 2 Olympians :-) (Jo Pavey and David Moorcroft). Not something I’m ever likely to claim again!

Gg, no it was a Hare and Tortoise event. They're really good as well, just a small outfit but all the runs they do are well organised and really friendly atmosphere.
Managed 6 laps of the 5.28 km course, so 19.51 miles in total. Tough course, 1.63 miles down hill followed by a gruelling 1.63 miles up hill.
Weather was pretty much ideal, no wind, not too hot, if a little warm at times.
Very tired this morning, some how got to drag myself in to work 😂
Now to get myself ready for the Brightlingsea 10k on Sunday.

Sounds similar to the SR although not as much uphill there is a killer one in the middle.

Very well done on the 19.51 that’s impressive and good luck for Sunday.

Yesterday really hit me how u ready for a 31miler I am.... must get some effort in on the long stuff but training is so much harder in summer it seems....

Great run in Pwn just stay injury free! Part of my slowness is if I push too much I pick up niggles (good excuse to plod)

New shoes tested on a 5.5m run yesterday it was a tad warm but every so often a light cooling breeze. Not done as much running as I’d hoped I just haven’t felt it.... not at all worried about my upcoming 31m when 5m feels too far!!! But when I’m in it I’ll be fine.

The shoes are amazing I desparayneedes new ones for the boat my old ones must be 8yr old and god knows how many miles in them time to retire.

These were on amazon for £29.86 unreal latest F-Lite 195v2’s. And like gloves to wear. Happy happy happy.

Nice shoes. New shoes always help with getting out running, I find.

Wake up, everybody! There has been no sign of life here for nearly 18 days - that is just a few hours to go. I suppose nobody has any news, so as the saying goes, "If you've got nothing to say, then say nothing".

This month I have recorded my highest monthly mileage since April 2018 - at 76 exactly.

Well done Evangel, I managed 62 in the end, a few runs got cancelled due to the heat 😂

My step daughter managed 57.50 for her 10k with a little bit of coaxing from me, a career as a personal trainer awaits 😂

Thanks for the wake up call Evangel. 😀

Well done both of you ^^. Some good mileage there.

I just managed a black heart on Sunday as for various reasons I went a whole week with no runs earlier in the month. With a bit of interval training last night I managed a slightly more pleasing 47 miles total.

*EDIT* in the current situation we are not entering races but I think we can still log any plans we may have over the coming months, whether it is learning a new skill, ticking jobs off a list, moving house(!), doing alternative exercise, aiming for training hours instead of miles, writing to family & friends, finding inventive ways to be together virtually or even entering virus races please fill in the planner and I’ll update this thread and keep our little social group going to share our goals.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
