A couple of pics from today's run.
The long grass gives a good high knee work out
Glad the rape seed is starting to go to seed.

Lovely pics Dave.
I went just over the halfway mark of 250 miles this week with my last run before Edinburgh Half Marathon. My race went amazingly well. I had been aiming for about 2 hours 30, then thought I could do better than that after my final long long run. I just ran to feel - went off crazy fast and then faded after about 10 miles, but felt good all the way round. Finish time 2:20:34 !

Great running all of you and well done Scribbler!!!
I have done a couple of runs since Windermere, I'm starting to feel a bit more human. I have a 7m race planned with a friend on Sunday, she is a new runner, completed C25K a few weeks back and I'm pacing her round this rather (I understand) undulating 7miles. Problem is she is much faster than I am currently, but I know she needs to maintain a pace she can keep at for the 7m. She ran her 5k in 30.28. She would like under 90min, so I'm aiming for 12mm to start and hope we get round in time. Wish me luck - more pressure than I feel running my own race (bit like trying to get you a place in Blaydon Scribbler)
Oh and I've now signed up for Loch Ness in October!!! so much for no more marathons.

Well done for those hitting the 250!
You’ve really caught the bug GG! It’s been amazing seeing all the running you’ve done recently.
I’ve ground to a halt (though made it to 260). The fatigue has got worse (am off work sick this week). Awaiting some blood test results. Iron levels are low but in the normal range so not likely to be causing the fatigue. I’m hoping it’s something that can be easily sorted as I just want to get back out there!

Sorry to hear that Pen. I hope you feel better soon and can bounce back to running again. You always find a way to deal with setbacks with injury etc but I would wish you smoother progress!
