Pen, that is a shame. Well done on getting to 260. Let’s hope that the cause of your fatigue can soon be diagnosed and resolved, getting your levels up to normal again.

Pen, I do hope that the true cause will be found, and treated effectively. It could possibly be that it is iron defficiency, and your training level was a little too hard for your current state of health. In my late teens I was anaemic, and I was on iron tablets - which were horrible - at one time I had fainted while speaking in the pulpit at a chapel!
GG, I hope you're not being unwise entering another marathon in a few months' time. It could prove to be a monster!
This morning, my wife and I were running up a hill, when a lady coming out of a little shop said to us, "I can't even walk up that!" It's not particularly steep, but it goes on for about 3-quarters of a mile. At our age, any comments people make are generally complimentary.

Well my last run on May done taking my total to 315 so far over the moon... lets hope it continues I know only too well how quick it can change as too many of us are experiencing this year. This running malarkey is very fragile at times.
Ev I am going to seen the next few months in a more chilled training zone I’ve got a bit more structure in mind without hammering lots of miles. I’m still not feeling 100% after the crazy marathons I’ve done so far this year. I had a good chat with a running club friend on recovery and I’m taking heed. Hopefully 5 months is long enough to do both and again I’m not going out to do much other than tick it off. That it’s the week after my 50th means I’ll be taking it as an event not a race.
Right morning run done & was great reminded me why I love a morning run but sitting here with a cuppa when I should be heading out the door not so good.
Have a good one all

Thanks everyone It’s so frustrating.
So I have vitamin D insufficiency (and low but normal range iron stores).
I’m going to take a Vit D supplement (with calcium and magnesium) and I’ve also bought some higher strength iron tablets. Hopefully we’ll get some sun at the weekend too. Hopefully that will help. At least it feels like I can take some control.
I’m still going to see GP tomorrow but not sure he’ll say anything particularly helpful. Got consultant review in 2 weeks and dietician appointment in 3 weeks which may be more helpful. I’m sure they’ll say it’s yet another thing related to my coeliac disease!

Past my highest ever monthly mileage today. Currently sitting on 98.7, beating my previous best of 94. Was planning a rest day tomorrow, but do I go out for a short run to reach 3 figures?

3 more miles this morning, to take me to 101. Next month will be quieter, but should get close to 100 in July and August, all being well. (Training for Loch Ness Marathon in October)

Nice one Deinonychus, but don’t over do it (says he who encouraged you to beat the 100!)
