Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hi, I'm planning to exceed 500 miles this year - I haven't for the past 2 years, but maybe 2019 will be better.
I hope you make a quick recovery BB

Oh dear! We don't seem to be starting off the new year particularly well, do we? BB your sprain needs to heal quickly - lots of sympathy. GG & Kirsty, colds seem to be quite fashionable for 500ers don't they? I started one on Monday, then on Wednesday I thought it was clearing up, but it has returned, and my wife (GrandmaS) started hers on Wednesday but a different type; hers seems to be a worse type than mine. It's all because our eldest son from Kent brought his wife and the two girls here with various infections - clearly they love sharing things!

It was my brother's Golden Wedding celebration meal etc. today near Reading, so we went up for a few days. I managed a 4.5 ml. run this morning, which has got me off the mark for 2019.

Up and running [literally] with 9.2 miles this morning. Leg still not healed but bearable although the pain is more noticeable as I increase the mileage.

Afternoon so I ran a half marathon this morning and with a new PB to boot. I hope we are all running well or our injuries are healing well.

bunting NL - excellent start to the running year!
I've managed to run for 10 minutes without a walk. That's a significant jump up from the 90:30 I'd been doing last year.

Hi been out of action for a very long time basically "broke" my back the beginning of 2017 and been out of action since then. Slowly on the road to recovery and have targeted to do a Parkrun as often as possible. If ok would like to join your group as an incentive to reach 500 or so miles ish for 2019.
Kind regards, louis.

*EDIT* in the current situation we are not entering races but I think we can still log any plans we may have over the coming months, whether it is learning a new skill, ticking jobs off a list, moving house(!), doing alternative exercise, aiming for training hours instead of miles, writing to family & friends, finding inventive ways to be together virtually or even entering virus races please fill in the planner and I’ll update this thread and keep our little social group going to share our goals.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

(When you go in give yourself a colour so I know you're wanting to be on the sheet so I can keep it tidy)

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
