Normally I'd agree but NFR by LDR is the exception as I love every track and I don't think it would be better if it was shorter. I've listened to her new one once and it's pretty good, need to give it one or two more listens to see if I want the CD.
Yep, lots of people seem to be liking the new one Little Nemo and its getting good reviews from what I see - Had it on again this morning and definitely not for me
Hmm, The Next Best American Record is my least favourite track, but it kind of wins me over by the end. California is one of my favourites so that *has* to stay
H. Hawkline is very good. As mentioned earlier by Chrisull can see the Gruff Rhys comparisons in places - Also at times it feels like Paul McCartney and The Kinks.
Boy Genius has some tracks I like and i'm getting more from it with each listen
H Hawkline reviewed, my second highest mark on here, yet some people dish out 100%s.... frowns at McG. I'd only give that to Pet Sounds / Forever Changes kind of greatness.
As a spin-off from Joopsy's excellent Albums of 2022 thread fetcheveryone.com/forum/albums-of-2022-62537/ this is a new thread where we commit to listen to one new album a week in 2023. Allowing a couple of weeks off for life commitments etc, that's 50 albums in the year. EDIT - new and improved (i.e. exactly the same) for 2024
