Anna B Savage's - A Common Turn is one the best records of that decade IMHO. Such a voice.
Not really listened to the new stuff yet but only just released. I am lowering my expectations. I notice you can do a fun thing with the vinyl album cover - see the internet.

That's me up to 10 reviews for the year. Hotel Insomnia by For Tracy Hyde which was released right at the end of last year is very good and have been enjoying listening a lot. Japanese shoegaze / dream pop - could hear the influence of Ride and some other on some of the tracks so no surprise that Mark Gardener from Ride mastered the album.

Listened to the Gorillaz album (thanks Spotify for the heads up). It was on whilst I was working, and it's no Demon Days, but I enjoyed it, and it didn't overstay its welcome.
Also listened to the new single from Soup! which I really enjoyed, too.

What no mention of The Necks - Travel in the list, which is out today? Very floaty, long form bass, drums, piano/vibes not much else and they don't need anything else.
