Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The Scribbler
I'm pleased I reached my 250 target, but won't make 275 now. I've barely run, taking a cautious approach to plantar fasciitis and now I've been hit by a cold. So I'm taking it as a sign to wind down a bit. I really want to get out for a long run. At the moment that would be anything more than 20 minutes, so I'll need to build back up slowly and watch the PF.

Looks like I may fall a bit short of target too.
mainly dur to the fact I lost my swimbling mojo.
I have just over 31hrs to go and 17 days to do it and with work, Christmas etc not sure its realistic to even think about ave nearly 2 hrs a day.

On the up side tho I have already done 13+ more hours than last year, past my best ever yearly running milage some time ago and only have 4 miles to swim to break that best ever yearly total too.
23m to go to break the 1000m run for the 1st time so all in all not too bad.

Maybe if I'd been better about updating on here I'd have stayed on target better!!

Oh well, I'll aim for 300hrs again next year too.

I was thinking that about more reporting next year! Being accountable really helps.

13+ hours will soon become more! Well done :-)

Oh yes. Definitely next year. 336 planned ('cos that's what it says on my plan, that's why).

Leggers, are you going to run this thread again next year?

tbh peeps, I have been a bit lax in updating as I have been so busy at work and its been tough trying to fit my own taining in, let alone getting on the pooter to do things

I had planned to do a 'you've got ** hrs to do and ** days to do it in, so thats **hrs per day' kind of post but just havent got round to it, will poss try to do it this afternoon

If you want this to continue next year then why not, I'm game

About This Thread

Maintained by Legless
A thread for those feeling left out by all the "1000 miles in 2011" threads etc Let's track Hours instead of Miles!

WHATEVER YOU CLASS AS 'TRAINING' COUNTS AS TRAINING.

To get your name in lights here on the thread header, please join the group, then keep a note of your target and progress in there. I'll copy it in here periodically!

Hour targets...
Target . . . Aug ... Sept ....... Oct ..........Nov
% . . . 66.6% ... 74.8% ...... 83.3% .....91.8%
200 . . . 133.2 ... 149.6 ....... 166.6 ......183.6
250 . . . 166.5 ... 187.0 ...... 208.25 ......229.5
300 . . . 199.8 ... 224.4 ....... 249.9 ..... 275.4
365 . . . 243.1 ... 273.02 ..... 304.0 ...... 335.1
400 . . . 266.4 ... 299.2 ...... 333.2 ..... 367.2
500 . . . 333.0 ... 374.0 ....... 416.5 ..... 459.0

Remember, you can set your own target. Doesn't have to be 365 hours. Doesn't even have to be annual. Could be, "I will do 20 hours training in March." or "I will average 3 hours a week for the next 3 months." or "I will do 150 hours for the rest of the year." or whatever. You decide it, plan it, state it, then let's all go do it!!
