I'd offer to take it on but just waiting to hear if I've been accepted on a course that may see me having a nervous break down by July.
if I don't get a place I'll be happy to do this. If I do get a place I may have to lower my target and hide in the study.

Oh yes, I meant to say that I'm on here most days so I could take thread admin on but only if Leggers doesn't want to continue a great job and if no-one else wanted to.

Oh, good summary Legless, thanks for the round up!
Yeah, didn't mean to suggest Leggers couldn't do it, just if he was struggling for time.
sioUx, remember, it was a motivating goal, not a stick to beat yourself with. You've had a great year. Good mileage, great swimage and qualifying as coach and Fetchhead going so well etc. If we could log:
"Target Number of Hours of Stuff That Vaguely Has Something to do with Training or Sport or Fetch Website or Something Useful but Isn't Actually Miles Run in 2012"
Ooh, thread idea for next year...?! :-)G

Seriosly, could use the "X-Train - Other" and then could have some fun listing your "Other" in here too.
Examples: Recovery from injury - stretching, physio visits, massage etc. (it all takes time, money and commitment) Coaching - taking coaching badges, coaching others, coaching kids etc. Supporting - setting up FetchPoint, race director at races, marshalling, cheering on a loved one
etc. I think it has value... ?

Lol at fetch head going well!!
See my fb status?
Little darling beat me last night.
Grrrrr if only I listened to my own advice about judging the touch at the finish.
And yes re training, let's hope next year sees my racing reap the benefits of this years training.

You could be onto something :-)G. I logged my swim teacher training as X-Train - Other this year so some of the hours are included in my total. The difficulty I found was deciding how much time to apportion to it (a bit like skiing - do you count survival on the lift time as well as hooning down the slopes?). Obviously it's a personal choice and comes down to what each individual feels comfortable with.
That's why I this thread. It's all about me

Goodness my coaching course was best part of 60 hrs!!
I could log all the time I spend making flapjack!!!
Actually coaching could soon add up, not to mention poolside at galas.
I could reach my hours without ever pulling on Lycra again.
