I grasped conscious breathing while doing the big arm movements and somehow stayed with Adriene without looking. Somehow easier to marry movement and breath for me while sitting. But I just can't be that conscious of my breathing in a full body flow sequence.

Obvs I'm breathing and I can keep the movement smooth and flowing ... but I can't 'let the breath guide me', I just get hung up on breathing.

I'm the same Sharks. I just get out of synch and that annoys me.

After years of Pilates I tend to just breathe the way I'm used to for that - in through the nose and out through the mouth, I have tried to follow Adriene's cues at times but tend to default back. I don't worry about it any more :)

Pilates breathing for me too - in through nose, out through mouth, ribcage widens and contracts - but I never 'really' thought about then (even though I was supposed to - perhaps a bit naughty as I never made it a big point of my teaching bar the widen the ribcage thing)

Day 4 done. I found it difficult to begin but it got easier. I love a good flow. I even managed an approximation of the one legged chaturanga.

I have an issue with my left arm which I am keeping an eye on.

Day 4 done, all fine, definitely included some movements I've been cautious of for the last 10 months, so good to find that if I'm gentle with them then those movements are still ok. Yay.

olde english
hello y'all. merrily following this 30 day after ambling through last years 'breath' in Dec. This 1 is more 'exercisey' than that 1 so far. Think i've gained a mm or 2 in my hamstrings over the past month ish...can almost sit with legs outstretched without it being a core workout to fight 2b upright . Though confession... i just breath normally..my cat gets freaked if i start mking heavy breathing noises and jumps on me to check im not dying.

I wasn’t planning to do Adriene’s 30 day thing this year as last year she whittered on so much, but I did day 4 and thought it was much better. She even told us to do two flows and she wouldn’t talk! I’ll do a few more and give her another chance after I’ve done my daily Kassandra.

All done! xxx

This is possibly just for me, mine all mine.

I'm all signed up for Adriene's 30 Days of Yoga: 'Move'. There's already a thread that's survived two previous incarnations (I believe I started that, too, back end 2019) I expect most Fetchies will post on there, or perhaps on the 'The Yoga Every (well, some) Days Thread'. Or somewhere else entirely. Or not at all.

HOWEVER
I reserve the right not to bother with Adriene's Day 30 if it takes its usu...
