Totally gutted, second failed pb attempt in 2 days
Finished in 1.31, which is actually my second fastest half ever. I'm not disappointed with the time (it was only a few years ago I was struggling to break 2 hours) but I really thought today was the day for a sub 90. Gutted with my lack of mental strength... had nothing at mile 10 and basically just gave up
Oh well, can't win 'em all as they say! Next time

oh bad luck RB, you've achieved such a lot this year already and 1.31 is still an awesome time.

Watford Wobble
Oakley 20. Hated every mile and really wasn't up for this one. Everything seemed to go wrong.
We gardened too much yesterday and I felt the effects today.
Oh well.

Fizz :-)
Oh dear. I quite enjoyed it, despite the inauspicious start.
No PB for me, but still a decent negative split and only a few minutes slower than Ashby two weeks ago.

Easy 11 miles done today...and the highest mileage week I've done in a long time. RB, you've had a busy year so far.

JK, great effort yesterday, sounds like it was the right decision to stop when you did before that blister could do anymore damage.
Ron, sorry it didn't go to plan today. Like Doc M says though, you've achieved so much already this year, and it's still a great time - hopefully you'll get that sub-90 mins next time.
Wobbler, sorry you didn't enjoy the Oakley 20 - it's a long way when you're not really up for it so well done for persevering. Fizz, glad you had a good run - well done on the negative split!

nice one G
Ron -don't feel shit about a 1.31 time, its flying along. after all you've done your brains telling you anything is possible. but you can't train to achieve peak performance all the time, you'd break yourself - give yourself a break.
wobbler - stop gardening.

Sorry for the disappointments, fellow runners - I empathise. Did you provide good race bling, Huntsman?
Good news: we have returned from Welsh Wales to find bonking frogs in our pond. It's an X-rated orgy in there! I was a bit worried because I haven't seen any frogs about so far this year, but frog- and toadspawn production is now clearly underway. It must be spring.
