Hello to Jaks and Pix.

Looks like Steve might have run more miles than me this week - well done!

Some good Parkrun times from yesterday and good miles today. Same about the faffing LL.

Everything was fine at Parkrun yesterday, some great fast runners on our course. I'm glad it didn't rain and the woods were lovely in the morning.

I did 5.2 miles this morning, a little damp but ok. I went up the drive to the local castle and there was a huge branch blocking the road - this the same place as Parkrun so I'm glad it was today and not yesterday - I would have panicked.

I crossed the 600 mile mark so a bit behind target. Going to keep going though.

Pix & Jacs, I can testify how welcoming and friendly this group is. I'm really only an associate now. I was formerly a legitimate member, but since sustaining an injury a year ago, it's unlikely that I'll ever get to 1000 miles again. But people here are so considerate. [Is that enough flattery, guys & guyesses?]

Welcome to the thread Jaks and EvilPixie, it's all been said above so I'll just say hi 👋

No run today but I took my mate out to the touring cars, a little damp this morning but we soon dried out in the stiff breeze and the temperamental afternoon sun and clouds. Hopefully I'll squeeze in a run when I get up.

Thank you all. 👏 to Fenland Flier.
My legs ache from my strength and mobility I did yesterday so I’m just going to run a short one today to loosen them off.

Only just got up! Think I was tired after yesterday's long run. I may rest today

You did a long and consistent run yesterday Pix rest is where the magibc happens.

I went out for 4 this morning which gets me 1000 for the year!! Super happy

On checking I hit 1045 by end of August 2021 but I wasn’t working half as many hours or travelling anywhere thanks to Covid and I had done a 100k race in the June. Last year was 955 which included a few days romping round the lakes and 70m doing The Wall (& I’ve still got a few days left but conscious of my biggie at the weekend so it won’t be many more for the month.

A big ask but hoping for 1500 now but if you done mind I’ll stick with this fab group and for inspiring chat & support

Well done GG for reaching the 1000, I'm just 1.9 miles away after 7.8 this morning doing a 321 interval session. I shall also change my target to 1500 but stay here too.
