Welcome Jaks this is a brilliantly supportive and friendly thread great to have you here.

Seemed I lied, hubby said are you running I said no I’ve pratted about too much but he said I had a 1/2hr window as he’d warm the engines up so boosh I went. Only 2.7 but it was a nice leg stretch.

And I bumped into the chap I ran a bit with on Friday so we had a catch up - he’s read up on The Berkeley Marathons. This is a bit about it:

My mate is the guy with the big cheesy grin, lots of pages and 3 fingers up for lap 3.

The fetch number cruncher says I could get my first ever 1000 this year 😁🙏
I did 910 last year which was my biggest miles and I’ve already ticked off my biggest week ever this year and potentially my biggest month will happen this month.

🤞🤞

Welcome to the thread Jaks, I hope you soon "feel at home!"

Well done GG, for fitting in a run, in a narrow window of opportunity.

Welcome Evil Pixie and best of luck with hitting your 1000 miles target. You will get plenty of encouragement on here.

Welcome aboard nice to see some new peeps.

Many of us won’t make the target this year but it’s not compulsory.

8 miles for me today it was a bit of a faff. Was due to meet a friend who was running late. Then she bailed after 3. I had her car key in my car so was worrying about her waiting resulted in me running later than I wanted and a route I had to make up as I went along. Never mind it’s done now!

Well done LL, that sounded very stressful, but thankfully worked out ok in the end.
