Well done for the PB RFJ. Sorry to read you're struggling though. Targets are only numbers, look after yourself.

Congrats RFJ some runners I know would like that time. I agree with FF regarding targets etc we’re all a bit obsessed and no need to be.
Good to hear from you and well done.

Good walking RFJ; glad that you're feeling better lesley and good that you're back doing your stuff again FF. For me a target is always fun/good/worth striving for until I'm slipping too far off target and then it becomes a pain in the a**!! My targets , in my better days, were always around race times and a pb or a time to chase on a club run. " Lowering the bar" near enough year on year after my injury was ,and is still, a hard pill to swallow. Weights and stretches with no running today--and it's such a superb morning too.

Good to hear from you again RFJ, and that you are walking at a good pace.
I don't really have any targets these days, but to keep on running and enjoying it.
We are well into our Marathon training now, and this morning's run with the Monday group was a 11.53 mile road run. It was unexpectedly hot and humid, so we took it very easy.

11.53 sounds perfect to me hs!
Torrential rain during my five miler this morning, part of the river trail was too flooded to pass safely so I ended up doing some extra on a hill!!
Seems cooler here now.
Good to see you having a rest day LL. I have another one tomorrow!

Enjoy your rest day today LL.
Well done Steve running in torrential rain.
Today is a rest day, but I have been tempted by my running buddy to run with her tomorrow evening in the second RR10, which will be at Broadlands in Romsey. RR10's are a series of 10 off road races, between 4.5 and 5 miles, and each hosted by a local running club. We are not permitted to run in our race, which is a shame as it is reckoned by many runners to be the best in the series. This will be my first race since Covid, so I am looking forward to it, but also apprehensive, as I'm still cautious about mixing with strangers.
