That's great Lesley. I recall a woman whizzing past me with baby in buggy on trails a couple of years ago... I did wonder what it must be like for a nipper though!!😧 It might be quite scary for some. I'm sure everyone knows their children and what's ok. Superb running conditions this morning. Ooh gg, your Mum's injury is not just the niggle I thought. I hope it settles down and isn't too serious. My periodic sore hip comes on when I put some welly into my jogs and could call it running.

One young father did a hilly HM (Hoy) a few years back with a double buggy and came in ahead of most of us! Back in Orkney after brief pleasureless road trip to Aberdeen for follow up scan for my wife. Windy again 3.3 miles done.

Good to hear that you are now running with a buggy Lesley. A few of our club members have advised that it strengthened them. Unfortunately, not all "passengers" enjoy the ride. At a parkrun, back in the day, there was a man running with his son who was screaming in fright, as it was a very hilly and bumpy course.
Did a forest recce with a running buddy this morning, for Sunday's CC6 5 mile off road challenge. It was the first forest run for a couple of weeks or so, and we were surprised how wet and muddy it was. We will revert to plan B, as this will be a less muddy course.

Ohh..so it could strengthen us running with a buggy! I think I might get one and try it!! Could put a big bag of potatoes in it and strap it in for added weight..!! Those forest runs sound ace hs.

I haven't been on here for a little while. It's good to see some good running going on here.
GG, I'm sorry to hear about Geordiemum. I really do sympathise, as I know from experience that as we get older it takes longer to shake off the injury fully.
I think I read in RW, that too much running with a buggy can cause problems with shoulders and back. If you can push it one-handed, then it's beneficial to swap hands frequently to minimise the problem.

Steve, maybe you and I are nearing the age at which we need a buggy, so that our children and grandchildren can push us along in it.
I've just done 5 miles (not in a buggy), and it's a beautiful sunny day here, so it felt good to be out running.

Thanks everyone, I hope it will help strengthen me.
It was a lovely evening for my run last night, 10k done. Went out before it got dark and though I would only get a mile before needing the head torch, I didn't need it till I was half way. Enjoying the lighter evenings already.
Lovely 4.5 mile walk this morning with the wee man, absolutely gorgeous out there.

The lighter mornings are a treat too, getting light at about 6.30am but I could have done without the frost again this morning. 10k with my wife which would have been left at four miles on my own. Struggled to get into the run. 😂 Evangel...but I hope I'll still be up for some running/jogging until my final days😂!! Hmm...sorry folks..a bit morbid I guess...
