Thanks GG, it was a bit slippery in places, so a bit dodgy, especially on the hills. One of our club's lady runners, who is in her 20's, came first, beating all the men! Her father is also a very good runner, and they often train together. She was 'flying' when she lapped me 😅

Well done for todays 6.5 miles meeting up with Geordiemum part way.

I'm way down the league table at present, probably due to running parkruns twice a week.

Finished the Polarnight Half Marathon so now back in front of the rate again! And then saw the Northern Lights on the way back!

Well done everyone on all the early mileage!

A lovely experience @EdGreig.
I remember the Midnight Sun Marathon with fondness, that was a lovely experience too.
Well done @steve45 for your usual early run, @hillstrider for your parkrun, @geordiegirl for your run and how nice to be able to run with your mum.
Oh dear @Mrsbridgewater a frozen car and forgetting to start your watch.
Sorry to read about your sore foot @JackFW.
I was up early and decided to go to parkrun, I left late and hoped parkrun would start a bit late but as I was about 20 seconds away I heard the bell ringing for the start. I didn't have time to reset my watch or get my breath back, I pressed lap and carried on running. My official time was 26.43, I came 51st out of 145 and I was 6th in my age group. My 5k benchmark from my training entry was 25.47 but the last half mile before the parkrun start was quicker than the first 2 parkrun miles so would skew the time.

Well done everyone for a great start to the new year.

Unusually for me on a Sunday, I decided not to run this morning. Conditions here in the South aren't as bad as further north, but it's heavy rain and strong winds, and I just didn't fancy getting soaked to the skin.I'm probably near the bottom of the league table, but I will catch up 😁

Great experience EdG and super pics .
Well done on that 6.5 gg and to your Mam too.

What a park run FF! Good response to the bell

Great race start duo and you first race of the year. (I can guarantee I will not do any races in 2025🤣!) .
I don't think a missed run will make any difference to the end target for you hs. I've already slipped down the leaderboard but aiming for consistency again and..... maintaining my silly streak!
Only did 1.5 miles in horrible conditions, that was enough!!

Well done Steve for getting out this weather. I only did one race last year and that was the Club's Exbury 10k. That's probably all I will do this year too. I do though, hope to continue with regular parkruns.
