Super 100th park run Lesley and nice pic too. Hope the young lad is ok soon. What an achievement hs, you must be over the moon with that WAVA. Fabulous. We're back to grey and damp again too gg. Yesterday was dry, clear and 3c this morning was damp, cloudy and 10c. I try to embrace winter and its ups and downs but can't! I don't like it! Just over 5k was all I could tolerate even though I had my wife for company. I get where you're coming from Donnie1. Have you got a plan?

6 miles in the dull grey skies of south Lincolnshire, cool with a breeze but I enjoyed it again.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments and encouragement, it helps to keep me motivated. Unfortunately, I won't be parkrunning next Saturday, but I will do a solo 5k in the forest. It will be nowhere near as quick.
Well done Steve for your 5k+ this morning.
I'm glad that you are enjoying your running again FF, so well done for your 6 miles this morning.
This morning was a solo, hilly 6.31 miles on roads, at recovery pace. It was slightly warmer than yesterday, and I'm still running in shorts.

Well done all of you out there today. I’m really really struggling with the cold and have decided not to run. I’m meeting a friend for a run tomorrow night so I’ll have to triple layer.

Great to see you almost over the line FF. But then it was pretty well a dead cert with your ability to throw in some decent miles . Even better that you enjoyed your six miler . Good recovery run hs after that zippy 5k yesterday. I'm still running in shorts too.
Triple layer up gg if it stays cold. Hope you have a good run tomorrow, I find going out in the cold unpleasant and except for shorts rather than leggings/tracksuits I often wear three layers when the temperature drops .

I normally run though winter in a skort, long socks a base layer and jacket but I’m so cold it’s crazy.

Still in shorts but upper body layers x 2 or 3!
Lesley and hillstrider: well done to you both yesterday on your park run successes.
Thanks for the interest in my work 'do' Friday night. I didn't go, I doubt I was really missed. Im happier in a smaller group, as I say I like them all but not really my thing. I thought about the suggestion from FF of going to the meal and then a quick getaway but ultimately that wasn't the right thing to do, better to be completely out.
Saturday parkrun was quite hard going in the mud but still enjoyed it. 30 something out of 250 so happy enough.
Run for an hour on Friday tea time covering almost exactly 7 miles (finished at 7.3), did another 5 today plus park run
yesterday.

At this time of year I always wear longs as it keeps the muscles warmer when running.

Cheeky’s Dad
The weather here won’t seem to make up its mind this year. I’ve done runs completely wrapped up and still been cold, then today I was in shorts and too warm.
Two runs today. 2.5 miles with the dogs then a very slow 8.75 on my own. I was feeling it by the end but well satisfied with my day’s work. 69.5 to go
