@Fenland Flier it’s great to see some enjoyment returning to your running. One more run to the big milestone. Go well.

@Lesley C congrats on the 100th parkrun. I’ve been stuck on 1 for about 2 years now!

@hillstrider Congrats on the incredible WAVA result! How do I find out mine? Do the running apps calculate it for you?

Nice running everyone else.

It is hot here. 41 degrees today. Yesterday it was 31, so I got up early (6am!!) to do the run before the hottest part of the day.

The cool change is coming tonight, so there is relief coming our way.

Thanks @JackFW.

The wava score can be seen on a training run or race when the training is uploaded. It's one of the boxes above the notes and comments.

Wearing longs in the chill has always been something I did until this winter FF. And yes, because warmer muscles function better; I don't know how I've slipped into more exposure but possibly because of the more frequent rain we've had. There's nothing worse than wet longs.
Glad you made the best decision re the work "do" Donnie1. Good runs you've put in there.
Doing well Cheeky 's Dad, quite a distance notched up over the weekend.
Phew to 41c Jack. I've never experienced temperature like that. Early morning is always best, regardless of temperature!!
I keep well away from WAVA because I'm so so slow I don't want to know how abysmal my percentage is😂 I know it's useless😂.
Two miles done this early morning with a nice bright moon shining.

Thanks both.
Oh to be as fit for running as hs! A hilly 10k , well done hs...such a jaunt would probably see me needing medical intervention 😂.
Great that you did escape gg. Good four miles.
At this point of the year I'm not concerned about my miles and only went out for twenty minutes this morning. I am frustrated though because although my overall fatigue and brain fog has lifted over the last several months my ability to run any further than a single minute at a time hasn't changed since last December. I am told that my form has clearly got back to how it was pre COVID which gives hope!
Still on the silly streak....well it's a target I can keep up for now. It'll be six months at the end of the month.

Thanks Steve, I've always been competitive, as you have too. My outlook has changed considerably though. I have lost most of my interest in entering races, but still give maximum effort in the parkruns. I think that my maximum race distance is now 10k.

It's good to hear that your form is back to what it was pre Covid. Well done for your nearly 6 month streak.

I've never been a fan of running streaks, and even at my peak, I would take a one day rest day.

Just the usual Tuesday Farmers Walk this morning.

Great running everyone.

Have had a bit of a niggly Achilles so not much running last week - think I need to lay off the weighted calf raises - might be stretching the Achilles too much.

YTD 1257 miles.

Thanks for all your congrats posts. Good to see you all logging the miles. Wow Steve, a 6 month streak is good going.

I have picked up whatever bug the wee man has (either that or it's from someone in my office). I have a cough and feeling pretty tired so will rest for a few days so hopefully I am better later in the week. Only a few days left of work. The school finishes on Friday too, I think the kids are ready for a break.
