What a great run gg. You've got to be pleased with that . I don't dare think of how quickly I'd end up doing a mile.. well, it certainly wouldn't be quickly! You deliberately doing a streak? I managed 100 days three or four years ago but not as a planned thing. I was doing decent miles then

I like the "training walk" to the village has with the perfect "feeding station"😂.
Continued two miles, eleven days without orthotics still positive.

Well done GG for your virtual mile time, very impressive.

Are you deliberately intending a long streak? I have never considered one. With very few exceptions, even in my peak miling era, I never ran a 7 day week. Friday was a rest day.

I'm glad Steve that you liked my "training walk" to the feeding station and back. I must do it more often, and claim it as cross training 🚶‍♂️🍜😋
Good that you have run 11 times now without orthotics, and no problems.

This morning was a pyramids session on the level gravel trail with the Wednesday Crew. It comprised 4 sets of 30, 45 and 60 seconds, with 90 seconds recoveries between sets. The last 60 seconds of the final set was my quickest at 5.42 minute miling (3.36 minute per k) That's the fastest I've recorded for many a day. If only I could keep it up for a mile 😊

Another very good session hillstrider. I really should take a leaf out of your book.

GG is doing run the sum this month. Adding the numbers of the day and running that in Km but I believe GG is doing it in miles. I know she's busy away with work so I hope she doesn't mind me letting you both know.

I also should take a leaf to FF. Great session hs and agree a walk to a feed station and back is def cross training.

Steve glad to hear the cold turkey on orthotics seems to be going well.

And as FF said (& thank you for stepping in while I was AWOL) and much better than I could have explained it - I’ve been trying this week and my manager & colleagues just look at me like I’m daft! I am doing run the sum but def not doing it in miles it’s just that if I’m out I might as well round up a little (or get carried away)

It’s my first streak well if there’s a badge for 7days I may have managed that many before. I did try once to go RtS but got injured. So I now have a 28 day streak and 4 days to go. Whether I carry on remains to be seen but even if I do it won’t be for long I need rest days.

This morning was definitely the challenge fitting in 5m then having to get showered and do my hair and make up for work (that never happens at home). Then on way to the office went for fuel to save that tonight and turned out I had a fully flat tyre! AA called hire cancelled, work plans awry and finally taxi to airport.

Pyramids are definitely for the pharaohs of the running tribe😂. You're going from strength to strength hs, brilliant. But I certainly won't be thinking about such endeavour!
I didn't dare ask about run the sum so thanks for the info FF. I won't be having a go at that either! Well committed there gg and twenty eight days with those sums involved is pretty hard going.
Things still going ok for me without orthotics although a slight twinge began during my two miler this morning. Seems to occur when I get too enthusiastic about my pace when the plod begins to morph into a jog😂.
This dialling back and attempted slow progress though is irking me a bit.

Thanks GG. That run to the sum sounded very complicated to me until FF explained it 😀. I don't reccomend that you prolong the streak, as that could lead to overuse injury.

Thanks Steve, I hadn't thought of myself as a Pharaoh 🤣
Good that you ran 2 miles this morning, with only a twinge.

I was intending to have a rest day today, but couldn't resist the urge to try out my new trainers which I have had for over a week. I ran an easy pace road 5k on one of our earlier, hilly courses. They were ok and felt comfortable.

Well done on your pyramid session HS, I do enjoy that type of session. Glad to see your new trainers are fine.

Good running FF, I had planned a similar run this morning (before work) but had a disturbed sleep so stayed in my bed longer.

Hopefully everything is good for you Steve without the orthotics. It will take a while for your body to running without them.

Sounds like a stressful morning there GG.

I did an easy run on Tuesday, with some of the club on a new route. It was good fun on a varied route with a few trees to hop over. Weather has been cold again this week - snow showers on Monday and Tuesday.

A good run yesterday FF. I hope your first run in your new trainers goes well.

Thanks Lesley. We sometimes do pyramids on a hill, spacing out cones, instead of running to times.
Your Tuesday run sounded nice. It's always good to run with club mates, and on new routes

No running for me today, just the usual Farmers Walk.

And relax…. We’re at the marina arrived after driving through heavy rain which prolonged into the night. Drizzly this morning but I went out and did a metric RtS so did 10.2m instead of 10k.

Your training is rock solid hs in awe!

Not good about the twinge Steve hope it’s short lived and glad the new trainers felt fine hs. I have one of my new pair with me as they could live here to save me dragging road shoes down every time.

A bit longer rest was a good plan Lesley and your club run sounded perfect. And nice running FF
