Thanks Steve and Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year to you and your wife, and to all my other running friends on here 🎄

I ran the Bartley Park parkrun this morning with some of my club mates. The terrain was very wet and muddy, with lots of wet and slippery leaves. The run Director advised us to run through the muddy puddles, rather than round them on the slippery grass.

I didn't do parkrun this morning as we visited my mother but I shall be doing it tomorrow.
Following on the example of the last 2 posts, Merry Christmas to you and your families everyone.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas holiday.

Parkrun 99 for me. A bit of a get round unscathed job as I’ve caught a bit of a lurgy from my grandchildren. Hoping I’ll be ok to do my 100th tomorrow.

Best Wishes with your knee Evangel.

I would like to say a big thank-you for all the good wishes for a recovery from my frustrating knee injury. I'd also like to wish you all a very happy Christmas, with some moderation where appropriate! God bless you all.

Sorry to hear about your knee Evangel, hope you have a rest will help you recover. Please stick around for next year.

I managed 5 miles today, same route as Tuesday. The short hill in the middle was pretty tough, and it's not really much of a hill. Weather was lovely though.

Well done everyone with your runs this week, and to LL for her 99th Parkrun 🙂.

Merry Christmas to you all 🎄.

Lesley, thank you; I shall stick around for next year - I'm a bit of a leech. Anyway by then I hope to be in the running again and keeping you all company. Well done indeed for your 5 miles.

LL, I trust you will get no. 100 tomorrow - quite an achievement!

Well done for your 5 miles Lesley.

I'm glad to hear that you will still be with us next year Evangel. You are the most senior on this thread, and your contributions are valuable.

I'm intending to return again, but I may need help, as usual, as I can never remember the procedure.

I hope you all had a good Christmas Day 🎄.🎅 Mine has been quiet, as my daughter is working all over the Christmas period, so it wasn't worth while travelling over 100 miles, especially as the roads would have been chaotic.

Tomorrow will be a nice social forest run, so I'm looking forward to that. 😊

I hope your Christmasses have been going well this year. Our Christmas arrangements have been completely disorganised! We were to have our elder son's family (4) from East Kent and our younger son's family (6) from North Devon visiting us for Tuesday & Wednesday, but none of it is happening! East Kent to SW Wales was going to be too horrendous a journey in present traffic circumstances, so that's off. North Devon's cat has been ill, and can't be left with friends. Instead, OH & I are going to visit Ilfracombe for a few days. One problem though is the quantity of food etc. already bought!!

I hope that all of you will have reached target mileage that you're satisfied with, and a few PBs etc. If not, then 2023 is just round the corner! I do hope to join you eventually, knee permitting; I'm certainly not planning on retiring at my young age.
