Yeah FF, I'm definitely in my winter mode of training/running! I do intend running tomorrow following a subtle prompt from my wife who embraces winter darkness with enthusiasm, even though it's balmy yet again today .
I did have my full CT scan today despite nurses strike. Results/outcome next mid month so it's still slow plodding til then. 8&6 miles are good running miles FF despite your thinking about winter mode!

Glad it went ahead Steve I was a bit worried for you. Fingers crossed for some answers soon.
I didn’t run today I’m feeling a bit out of sorts very groggy throat and so sleepy. I will be out Thursday if not tomorrow. Hope to get a decent longer run in before end of the year.

Thanks gg. I sure do need some indication about how my pace has slipped. This morning though it was more of a plod, I think because of beta blockers administered yesterday! (Good excuse!) 3.2 in the rain at least was mild enough.

A 3.2 mile plod is more than most of the population Steve (including me today) so never mind the excuses, well done.

Sorry I have not been posting anything for a while. I ended up picking up yet another bug and felt totally rubbish.
Well done to HS on the handicap and everyone for the last week or so of running.
Glad you got your scan Steve, it will be a long wait for the results.
Hope you are feeling better today GG.
I took part in a trial at work yesterday - I spent an hour in a prototype MRI scanner. Was actually not too bad, I shut my eyes and lay still for the time, I actually enjoyed the time just to do nothing for a while. Doubt many would say that being in a scanner.
Anyway the snow and ice melted rapidly on Monday although there are still a few patches around and I did my longest run in a long time last night - 5 miles. Will hopefully get out tomorrow and Christmas eve (before the mayhem starts).

Hello Lesley nice to see you here again. Bugs are horrible things but it's good you're over it and getting out again. Little and often is better than nothing.

I've just lost my total response to your posts. The screen suddenly reverted back to 2019! I'm not going to repeat it all again, but you all seem to be "pressing on" well. It's a shame that we can't save the text as we proceed.
I did my first run since Mondays shuffle this morning. It was a solo 5.6 miles on roads, with increased effort on the up hills.

Oh Lesley you’ve had such a tough time this year with bugs seems your immune system has had a lot to deal with hope you’re better soon. Glad you managed to get out.

It's so frustrating FF, spending time composing responses and then it all going "down the pan!" Well done for this mornings run, including 4 miles at tempo pace.
GG, absolutely typical. On the Runners World forums, we are able to save the work as we go along. I hope you enjoy your holiday, and do manage to incorporate some runs.
