More like ZCar era then FF?!!
Dixon was a show we rarely missed when we were kids when coppers used to ride push bikes with sturmey archer three speed gears and walk the beat. And of course answer the phone and call in on the tardis phone at designated times!
Glad you're on the mend Lesley and didn't end up slithering in icy conditions.
Nice Boxing Day turn out there has

A little over 5k this morning along still soaked trails, ticking over nicely and yeah, looking forward to the New Year 1000!!

Yesterday's walk sounded good FF.

My first bike had a sturmey archer 3 speed gear change and a dyno hub. I also fitted a speedometer which was attached to the handle bars, and a cable linked to the front wheel. Very high tech in those days.

Well done for this mornings 5k+ run this morning Steve on trails.

I watched "The Worlds Strongest Man" on the TV last night, especially the Farmers Walk, very impressive. I did my own version this morning 🤣

6 and a half miles left for me this year to complete by the 29th. I will be travelling between the 29th and the 1st and losing a day to the time zones.
Looking forward to seeing my family for the first time in 3 years.
I will be away for the first 6 weeks of next year so unlikely to get off to the best start so will have to get my backside in gear to catch up.

Good luck to everyone with their 1000 target next year especially those on the injury bench. ( Evangel)

Vague memory of Z-cars Steve.
Thanks hillstrider, we really enjoyed it.
Good luck with the last 6.5 miles LL.
A cycle ride of just over 34 miles this morning and after a roast beef lunch a 9 mile run this afternoon. Back to work tomorrow evening and poor weather returning will mean the last 28 miles I need for 1500 probably won't happen. I'm not bothered about that though after last year's poor mileage of 496 due to the PF.

Looks clearly in the bag now LL. Well done. Hope you have a great time seeing your family. (Where?). Will you be able to put a handful of miles in when you're away?
Strong Men? Bet they don't run as fast as you do hs!
Phew, that's a lot of exercise FF and you needed the beef! Regardless of targets you've run superbly this last year.
I wanted to end the running year this morning and finish on 1100 exactly but after a shower saw that I'm 0.2 short 😂. Of course, I will have to do it or my head won't rest. That's tomorrow. This morning was a sodden trail run as it barely got light but I enjoyed it. Best run for a long time. Once the 0.2 is done that's me finished until the 1st!

We're going to New Zealand. I will be able to run but probably won't get big mileage in. It's very warm for me and unless I get up very early it makes it difficult.

Well done Steve you've had a great year. I still have 3.62 to do tomorrow so creeping towards the line...

How amazing that you will see your family it’s a long time to not see them, loved having bro-sis in laws and nephew & niece here but we did say might have been 4 years but fitted in like it was yesterday. Have an amazing time.

The lurgy is still here 45min coughing fit at 6 awake for ages then over slept so no run today. Having a spa with husbands family ladies & geordiemum. Hopefully tomorrow.

My 1350 won’t happen now but I’d like to keep it to a round 1330-1335-1340 if possible.

Enjoy your last 0.2 of 2022 Steve, phenomenal increase on last year FF so glad the PF is sorted. Worlds Strongest Man - another childhood Xmas viewing essential.

Steve you can't just do 0.2 miles what about 11.2? Obviously not all at once but spread over the rest of the year. 1111 miles for the year!!

LL, odds on you will make the 6.5 miles.I hope you have a lovely time with your family in New Zealand.

Well done for your cycling and running yesterday FF. You've run really well this year, so I wouldn't worry about not meeting your target.

You've done really well Steve, getting to 1100 less 0.2. You can't just run 0.2 miles tomorrow. Having bothered to get out, I'm sure that you will run further.

GG, sorry to hear that you still have the lurgy. I hope you feel better after the spa! I hope you will finish the year on one of the round numbers you've mentioned.

I ran 4.4 miles on roads this morning, the first 5k with Sarah, who is now 5k short of her first ever 1000 miles. We will run Saturday's parkrun, so that she hits her target with a sprint finish.

That would have been an ideal total FF but I'm not up to it..still being cautious and struggling somewhat while I await scan results. So I did a mere 1.2 miles to round the year off with 1101. That'll do me! It was pouring with rain again this morning but at least safe and not icy .
I hope you're able to round your miles off nicely gg.
Great that your friend will hit 1000 for the first time hs.
